Frequently asked questions
Then we will tell you. Many clients start with a single contract review or a short call. If you do not need us yet, we will say so and point you in the right direction.
No. Alongside founders and businesses, we act for individuals on conveyancing, employment matters and independent legal advice, such as when you are asked to guarantee a loan. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you and point you to someone who is.
From 10 December 2026, organisations covered by the Privacy Act must explain in their privacy policy when they use software or AI to make, or substantially help make, decisions that could significantly affect people. Most businesses with annual turnover over $3 million are covered, along with some smaller ones, such as health service providers. We can check whether the rules apply to you and update your privacy policy.
The fee is agreed up front and in writing. If the scope of your matter changes, we tell you and agree any change before we do the extra work, never after.
Templates and AI tools are a reasonable starting point, but they do not know your business, your risks or the law where you operate. If you already have a draft, we can review it and fix what matters, which is often quicker and cheaper than starting from scratch.
As little as possible. We ask for what we need once, explain things in plain English and keep you updated without long meetings. Most matters need only a short call and a few answers from you.
Yes. We advise across the UK, Europe and Australia, so you have one point of contact instead of a different firm in each country. Property and independent legal advice services are offered in Australia only.
Book a consult through our Contact page or email info@eugeniemichael.com. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
